Singtel Aztech 1015EW ADSL router ADMIN bypass
This Singtel Aztech 1015EW ADSL router, comes with singnet broadband signup or some bought it from someone else. You plugin and find something lacking. Yes, and that is denied access when you try to ssh into the router. You have the username which is ‘admin’, but the password is held by Singnet. What you need to do is a Singtel Aztech 1015EW ADSL router ADMIN bypass. Here’s how you can do it.
1. Type http://192.168.1.254/backupsettings.conf and save the backupsettings.conf on your desktop.
You can save it from the ‘Backup router configurations’ on the user panel on http://192.168.1.254 as well.
2. Open backupsettings.conf up with your notepad, it will appear as an xml file:
Find the field ‘<AdminPassword>SDNsbDB0M2NoAA==</AdminPassword>’ and replace it with ‘<AdminPassword>AA==</AdminPassword>’.
Notice you can access the user panel without password because the field ‘<UserPassword>AA==</UserPassword>’, means its an ‘empty password’.
Now save and overwrite the config file. I suggest saving a backup backupsettings2.conf in case you mess up the configuration. If all else fails just press the Hard reset button behind the router for more than 2 seconds.
3. Now go to http://192.168.1.254 user panel ‘Update’ tab under the ‘Device administration’.
Choose the edited backupsettings.conf and click Update. Wait for the Singtel Aztech 1015EW ADSL router to reset.
4. Go to http://192.168.1.254 and type in ‘admin’ as username and an empty password. And you’ll see the admin panel.
