Ram Bahadur Bomjon (Sanskrit: राम बहादुर बामजान) (born c. 9 April 1990, sometimes spelt Bomjan, Banjan, or Bamjan), also known as Palden Dorje (his monastic name) and now Dharma Sangha, is from Ratanapuri village, Bara district, Nepal. Some of his supporters have claimed that he is a reincarnation of the Buddha, but Ram himself has denied this, and many practitioners of Buddhism agree that the Buddha has entered nirvana and cannot be reborn.

He drew thousands of visitors and media attention by spending months in meditation. Nicknamed the Buddha Boy, he began his meditation on May 16 2005. He reportedly disappeared from the hollow tree where he had been meditating for months on March 16 2006, but was found by some followers a week later. He told them he had left his meditation place, where large crowds had been watching him, "because there is no peace". He then went his own way and reappeared elsewhere in Nepal on December 26 2006, but left again on March 8 2007. On March 26 2007, inspectors from the Area Police Post Nijgadh in Ratanapuri found Bomjon meditating inside an underground chamber of about seven square feet.

On 10 November 2008, Bomjon reappeared in Ratanapuri and spoke to a group of devotees in the remote jungle.

Ram Bahadur Bomjan, a teenage Nepali boy, who is believed to be the reincarnation of the Lord Buddha, has re-emerged in a remote southern jungle after disappearing more than one year.
Thousands of his followers were assembled to see and listen his preach this week. After the long disappearance, he was seen in one remote place of Bara district this week.
Local people say that he is meditating for the long time without food, water and sleep. Many of the boy's followers believe he is the reincarnation of Siddhartha Gautama, the spiritual teacher who founded the Buddhist religion 2,500 years ago.
Buddhists strongly believe in reincarnation, the doctrine that every soul reappears after death in another bodily form. It hasn't verified he is either reincarnation of Buddha or not. But he has given a challenge to science as he is meditating for the long time without food, water and sleep.

The Maitriya Dharma Center

On October 19, 2013 Maha Sambodhi Dharma Sangha Guru called for an official photograph session with His Disciples and with His Sangha.

Guru transferred the Maitriya Dharma Sangha Center to Sindhupalchok District, Badegaun 5 VDC, Todkebari on September 20, 2013. It is a beautiful, remote mountainous area with a waterfall near the Sangha quarters, cliffs and a river at the bottom of the mountains that can be heard at night. Birds and cicadas sing throughout the day. There are deer and cougars. Guru also has horses, goats, rabbits, and dogs.

Guru announced that the spreading of the new Marga (Path) of Maitriya Dharma begins from zero. All decisions and announcements of Maitriya Guru Maha Sambodhi Dharma Sangha will be issued by Jyampa Topchen and Jyampa Ninchenmo from His central administrative office in His new kajopa.

The Maitriya monks and nuns now wear a white shirt with blue robes.

Immediate projects include Guru’s kajopa now being finished in a few days, and a temporary road in preparation for the construction of a sizeable Dharma Hall. There is also a 127cm copper Dharma drum being made weighing about 100 kilograms. Guru will dedicate an extended period of time to the writing of His Teachings in His kajopa. During this time there will be no individual darshans. When appropriate, Maha Sambodhi Dharma Sangha Guru will inform the Sangha of upcoming Pujas or teachings. When asked whether He had any further messages for us, Guru replied that the messages which have been conveyed up until this time were sufficient for the present.
