The Burmese passport or the Myanmar passport is the passport issued to citizens and nationals of Burma (officially called "the Republic of the Union of Myanmar").

Three types are currently^[when?] issued by Ministry of Home Affairs. Government officials are issued with a green passport. Diplomats are issued with a blue passport. All other citizens receive a red passport. The red passport is valid for 5 years and the green passport for three and both are not renewable.

Currently,^[when?] ordinary passport holders can travel to Cambodia, India (VOA), Laos, Maldives, Macau (Visa on Arrival, VOA), Philippines, and Vietnam without a visa. From September 2011, travel to Indonesia is also free for periods of up to 30 days.^[1]

In April 2010 the Myanmar passport was upgraded from hand-written to machine readable passport.

ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံမႇ ဗီဇာေွ်ာက္ထားမႈမ်ားႏႇင့္ သက္ဆိုင္သည့္ သတ္မႇတ္ခ်က္မ်ားကို ယခုႏႇစ္မကုန္မီ ေလွ်ာ့ခ်ေပးမည္ ျဖစ္ေၾကာင္း ဂ်ပန္အစိုးရတာ၀န္ရိႇသူမ်ားက စက္တင္ဘာ ၂၅ ရက္တြင္ ေျပာၾကားခဲ့သည္ေၾကာင္း ဘန္ေကာက္ပို႔စ္ သတင္းတြင္ေဖာ္ျပခ်က္ အရသိရသည္။

ဂ်ပန္အစိုးရအေနျဖင့္ ႏိုင္ငံ၏စီးပြားေရး ျမႇင့္တင္ေရး မဟာဗဴ်ဟာ အစီအစဥ္တြင္ ခရီးသြားလုပ္ငန္းကို တိုးျမႇင့္ေဆာင္ရြက္ရန္ ပါ၀င္ၿပီးအေရႇ႕ေတာင္အာရႇမႇ ကေမၻာဒီးယားႏႇင့္ လာအိုႏိုင္ငံမ်ားမႇ ေလွ်ာက္ထားမည့္ ဗီဇာမ်ားႏႇင့္ ပတ္သက္၍လည္း သတ္မႇတ္ခ်က္မ်ားကို ေလွ်ာ့ခ်ေပးမည္ ျဖစ္ေၾကာင္း သိရသည္။

ဂ်ပန္၀န္ႀကီးခဳ်ပ္ ရႇင္ဇိုအာေဘး အေနျဖင့္ အာေဘးစီးပြားေရး ပံုစံ၏အစီအစဥ္သံုးကို ဇြန္လအတြင္း ခ်မႇတ္ခဲ့ရာတြင္ ႏိုင္ငံအတြင္းသို႔ ကမၻာလႇည့္ ခရီးသည္မ်ား ပိုမိုလာေရာက္ ႏိုင္ေရးလည္း ပါ၀င္ခဲ့ရာ ရႇင္ဇိုအာေဘး အစိုးရက ဗီဇာစည္းမ်ည္းမ်ား ေလ်ာ့ခ်ေရးကို ယခုကဲ့သို႔ လုပ္ေဆာင္ျခင္း ျဖစ္ေၾကာင္း သိရသည္။

ထို႔အျပင္ ျမန္မာ၊ ကေမၻာဒီးယားႏႇင့္ လာအိုႏိုင္ငံမ်ားမႇ ဧည့္သည္မ်ားက တစ္ႀကိမ္ ေလွ်ာက္ထား႐ံုျဖင့္ အႀကိမ္မ်ားစြာ ၀င္ေရာက္ခြင့္ရႏိုင္မည့္ (Multiple-entry Visa)အစီအစဥ္ကိုလည္း ဂ်ပန္အစိုးရက စဥ္းစားလ်က္ရိႇေၾကာင္း သိရသည္။

၂၀၂၀ ျပည့္ႏႇစ္တြင္ ဂ်ပန္ႏိုင္ငံ၌ ေႏြရာသီအိုလံပစ္ၿပိဳင္ပဲြ က်င္းပမည္ျဖစ္ရာ အဆိုပါကာလမတိုင္မီ အာရႇတိုက္ႏိုင္ငံမ်ားမႇ ခရီးသြားမ်ား ပိုမိုလာေရာက္ေစရန္ ဂ်ပန္အစိုးရက ရည္ရြယ္ထားေၾကာင္း၊ ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံသို႔ ကမၻာ့လႇည့္ ခရီးသည္လာေရာက္မႈတြင္ ထိုင္းႏိုင္ငံမႇ အမ်ားဆံုးျဖစ္ၿပီး တ႐ုတ္ႏႇင့္ဂ်ပန္ခရီးသည္မ်ားက ဒုတိယႏႇင့္ တတိယအမ်ားဆံုး ျဖစ္ေၾကာင္းလည္း သိရသည္။
