Diamond Jubilee whisky goes on sale for £120,000 a bottle
A Diamond Jubilee Scotch Whisky, blended from ingredients distilled in 1952, is to go on sale to raise money for a royal charity - but at £120,000 per bottle, you probably need to be the Queen to afford it.

Diamond Jubilee Blended Scotch Whisky by John Walker & Sons comes in a diamond-shaped crystal decanter made by Baccarat, with a silver collar set with a half-carat diamond. A pair of engraved crystal glasses are even thrown in for the price.
But it's what's inside the decanter that justifies the sporran-busting price tag, according to the makers.
Each decanter (with a limited edition of 60, naturally) contains a blend of grain and malt whiskies, all distilled in and maturing since 1952, finished in a cask of English oak from the Queen's Sandringham Estate.
Two small casks of the blend were rested at the Royal Lochnagar Distillery, on the edge of the Balmoral Estate, before being bottled in February 6, exactly 60 years after the Queen acceded to the throne.
Each bottle is sold in a bespoke cabinet made from oak and Caledonian pine from Sandringham, and inlaid with marquetry using veneers from Commonwealth countries.
