Introduction
Employment Pass Online (EP Online) is a portal for business employers and employment agencies to perform Employment Pass and S Pass transactions. The processing time is shorter when you transact with us online - 80% of all online applications are processed within seven working days. You can perform the following transactions using EP Online:
- New application for Employment Pass (excluding Sponsorship scheme), S Pass(1), Dependant's Pass(2), Long Term Visit Pass(2), Letter of Consent and Training Employment Pass (not applicable to employment agencies)
- Renewal application for Employment Pass (excluding Sponsorship scheme), S Pass, Dependant's Pass(2), Long Term Visit Pass(2) and Letter of Consent
- Upload relevant supporting documents for a work pass/related pass application
- Appeal for rejected applications
- Check application and renewal status
- Issuance of Employment Pass, S Pass and related passes
- Cancellation of Employment Pass, S Pass and related passes
- View rejection reasons for most of the unsuccessful applications
- Printing of application outcome letter and Issuance of Notification Letter

(1) If you have never applied for S Passes and wish to do so, you are required to set up a CPF account for the business and declare your business activity for the account (formerly known as Industrial Classification).

Introduction
WP Online for employers of foreign domestic workers is a one-stop portal for the individuals to perform Work Permit transactions (Application, Issuance, Renewal and Cancellation), print duplicate copy of the 6-monthly Medical Examination Notification Letter and apply for replacement of Work Permit card for a foreign domestic worker.The prospective or current employer of a foreign domestic worker must log in to WP Online using his/her personal SingPass (Singapore Personal Access).

Operating Hours of WP Online
WP Online is available from 8am to 10pm (Mondays to Saturday), excluding public holidays.The eService is closed after these hours for data synchronisation to ensure the information is current and relevant. We seek your understanding on this.
Transactions performed after 8pm (Mondays to Friday) or 2pm on Saturdays will be considered as transactions performed on the next working day.

What is e-Calculator?
The e-Calculator enables you to calculate salary payment, overtime payment, salary in lieu of notice etc in accordance with the formulas stipulated in the Employment Act.
For example:
- Basic rate of pay is used when we calculate pay for:
- Gross rate of pay is used when we calculate:
- work on a rest day
- work on a public holiday.
- Salary for incomplete month’s work is used when a monthly-rated employee has not completed a whole month of service.
- salary in lieu of notice of termination of service
- salary deduction for unauthorised absence from work, and
- paid public holidays; and
- approved paid leave including annual leave, hospitalisation leave and maternity leave.

Calculation of Foreign Worker Quotas
Calculation of quota
- The Controller of Work Passes uses your company’s Central Provident Fund (CPF) account to determine your local workforce and then uses that data to calculate your foreign worker (FW) quota.
- Local workforce refers to full-time employees (Singaporeans and Permanent Residents) who have worked for a calendar month, and are receiving their monthly salary on time as well as CPF contributions similar to the industry norm. For MOM’s purposes, two part-time employees count as one local full time employee.
- In order to cater for minor fluctuation in the number of local workers you employ, we look at CPF contributions over a three-month period. We exclude the current month as well as the preceding month. For example, the quota for August is worked out using April, May and June’s CPF contributions. This is because CPF contributions are due the month after they are incurred (i.e. you make June’s CPF contribution only in July).
- Based on the above, it follows that any late payment or default of CPF contributions will affect your foreign worker quota. MOM will not consider late CPF contributions in our calculations, even if you settle your arrears and pay any interest or fines due subsequently.
- Once your local workforce is determined, the maximum number of foreign workers you can hire is then calculated as a percentage of the maximum total workforce allowed based on the sectoral Dependency Ratio Ceiling (DRC).

[100% - DRC%] - Once you have exceeded your quota, new applications and renewals of your work passes (both WP and S Pass) may be rejected. If you are persistently above your quota, MOM will also cancel your excess work passes.
